SPINK – A Pension Saving App

What future dreams do young people have? And are they actively trying to plan for them? Exploring how young people think about their pension, we found that they often find these savings irrelevant and unmanageable - despite having rather specific thoughts and dreams about their retirement life...

DESIGN PROPOSAL: The application “SPINK” allows pension savings to become a part of your daily life without making it a burden. When you buy small, everyday purchases - let’s say, a beer - you get a push notification, allowing you to choose to give your future self a gift - ultimately transferring the same amount to a pension savings account in your bank. In addition, you can also choose a gift from a preset list of things with prices, without actually buying something. “SPINK” aims to make pension more relevant in a fun way in your everyday life- while at the same time allowing you to save for your pension one beer at a time.
